G – GRATITUDE
This month, it’s about filling the GAP and doing our part in making the world a better place…
With this in mind, I start this series with my 1st letter - G; G for Gratitude. November is a great time to talk about gratitude, and it looks like I’m not the only one tuned into the ‘Gratitude feel’ because I’ve seen this word a lot on FaceBook in the last 2 weeks. It’s probably because I’m thinking about it a lot but hey, it’s always a great thing to encourage one another to have a heart of gratitude. I remember watching The Secret a while back and mention being made of the concept of the Gratitude rock. While you don’t necessarily have to carry around a rock, the principle holds true. Just imagine what your day would look like if you chose to start it off by listing all the things you are grateful for and verbalising them? You would most likely have a very productive day!
One of my best loved quotes from William Arthur Ward says ‘Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings’. My challenge to you today is to write out everything that you can be grateful for and begin to share it with your fondest & dearest, the gloom & doom will slowly fade and reveal a more positive and endearing you!
